128 Abstract A common assumption for optimization problems is that the availability of acomponent is considered as a constant amount in the interval 1 1 However availability of a component can change with respect to other factors such as humanfactors storage facilities and other environmental factors So it seems reasonable toconsider it as an imprecise positive number with interval values In this regard if thelifetime distribution of a component is determinate then component s availability willbe deterministic for the mission time But since lifetime distribution is not known indesign phase values of availability are represented as intervals In this study weimplement distance perimeter to determine reliability and availability indexes First the various models of allocating surplus components have been studied byevaluating available documents and records and then the latest models are introduced After identifying the basic model surveys have been executed in the field of distanceperimeter for the best model Applications of these studies are conceived in the contextof availability and also the related conventional methodologies An integration ofavailability concepts based on the latest results and findings are also represented Finally an appropriate meta heuristic method for multi objective models is consideredby investigating the current solution methods and results and analysis are represented Keywords Availability multi objective optimization serviceable repairablecomponents unserviceable irreparable components surplus components allocation uncertainty interval valued number Isfahan University of Technology Department of Industrial Engineering and Systems
