91Management and reallocation of land use based on multi objective and multi criteria techniques in Farfahan Watershed Mostafa Abbasi Arani m abbasiarani@na iut ac ir Department of Natural resources Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 IranDegree MSc Language FarsiSupervisor1 Seyed Alireza Mousavi E mail sarmousavi@yahoo comSupervisor2 Hamidreza Karimzadeh E mail hr karimzadeh@yahoo comAbstract Today desertification as the ultimate limit of land distraction has became one of the biggestproblem of arid ecosystems In this process the role of human factors is far more than natural factors Land use and its management in which the human wrong decision has caused the desertification inecosystems Decision support system as a set of skills and techniques along with software canfacilitate decision making of land use and prevents multiple losses Linear Programming model inthe form of a Multi Criteria and Multi Objective planning and Analytic Hierarchy Process in theform of a spatial Multi Criteria evaluation as processors for this system has proposed optimizedsolutions in order to solve existing problems During the linear programming process of this survey defining the maximum for three goal function including land cover net income and occupation inthree form of three separate scenarios and considering the limitations in each scenario thereallocation of three new land utility type consisting of beekeeping inclosing with plantingoperations and livestock grazing with seedling in 12 land mapping have been assessed and aftercomparing the results with current land uses the best condition for each scenario has beendetermined The database management and economical calculation of this part of study usingMicrosoft Excel 2013 software led to extraction of decision matrix for this system and in the nextstep the linear programming model using GAMS software have presented the optimum conditionfor each planning unit AHP model as another part of this research and the fourth scenario has beenexecuted to locate the areas for residential land use expansion For this purpose all criteria affectingthe selection of the best places have been organized and scored based on five criteria includingaccess to water and sewage networks the topographic characteristics soil and rock environmentalconditions and a group of other factors Therefore it has allotted the most and the least scores toaccess to water and sewage network and other factors respectively In this part of the study all stagesand mathematical computations for calculating weights based on hierarchical analysis model andEigenvector method using MATLAB R2013b software have been formed and the final weights ofall criteria have been extracted using replacing decision matrix In following the ultimate weightedmap with continuous value have acquired through transferring the value of to the relevant maps andcombining all maps via ArcGIS 9 3 According to the results of final weighted map study area ofFarfahan have been divided into three equal class based on the priorities for residential areadevelopment The best class has a value between 0 44 to 0 6 In the end combining the outcome oftwo mentioned models has led to new allocation of land utilization type to various sections of area Keywords Decision Support Systems Land use Optimization Linear programming AHP Farfahan
