Investigation of the Cascade Processes in K3He and K4He Kaonic Atoms in Liquid and Gaseous Targets Mohammad Hadi Esfahani mh esfahani@ph iut ac ir 8 22 2015 Department of Physics Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree Master of Science Language FarsiDr S Z Kalantari Prof zafar@cc iut ac irAbstract When heavy particles like and are stopped in matters exoticatoms are formed in high excited states Then atomic cascade processesconsisting of multistep transitions to the lower atomic states are taken place Cascade processes study could lead to important information on hadrons andnuclei interactions in low energies Measurment of the x ray spectrum of thesetransitions would give lots of data about strong interaction In this thesis at first Kaon capture and internal Auger rates in K3He andK4He liquid and gaseous targets have been calculated Radiative transition Coulomb dexcitation Stark and external Auger effects are studiedsubsequently and the rates of each processes in these atoms are calculated Finally the calculated results for K3He and K4He were compared in gaseousand liquid targets These calculations could be used for simulation of thecompetetive cascade processes and also to calculate the x ray yields fromgaseous and liquid 3He and 4He targets Keywords Exotic atoms Kaonic Helium atoms cascade processes
