86Abstract Urumieh Dokhtar is one of the richest polymetal zones in Iran which more than severalmineral indexes polymetal ore veins and porphyry deposits have been distinguished yet The high added value in price of copper gold lead and zinc and also the increase of theirconsumption in the market brings up the necessity of prospecting and exploration of themineral deposits in this zone The Aftabroopolymetal index area which is located in 120 Km SW of Tehran due to thesurface evidences mineralogy and types of alterations can be of the promising zones toconcentrate the mineralization of copper gold and zinc In this study to determine of themineralization controllers of the Aftabroopolymetal index were used results of thegeological mineralogical inverse geophysical modeling data statistical analysis of surfacelitho chemical data and combination of their results with other exploration information Incorporation of the geological and mineralogical studies and geochemical data of thestudied area refers to the presence haloes of brecciated silicic iron oxides propylitic andsericite alterations Using mineralogical studies magnetite specularite malachite and goldwere distinguished as metallic ores and are often related to silicic alterations In the geophysical studies using the results of raw data and processed geophysical data inverse modeling of chargeability and electrical conductivity from two profiles which arein the area distinguished as the promising zones of mineralization Statistical analysis of the geochemical raw data of copper lead zinc gold silver and ironshowed that the distribution of the elements tends to log normal and in surface sampling grade variations of gold in the mineralized samples are values from 0 004 to 1 3 ppm Thevariations of copper range from 60 to 52729 ppm iron and from 3 to 14 and Manganesefrom 677 to 5689 ppm Using the results of raw and processed geophysical data inverse modeling of chargeabilityand electrical conductivity and geochemical statistical analysis data and considering thegeochemical mono element symbolic maps of gold lead zinc silver copper and clusteranalysis of these elements can be separated in the area two zones of copper iron zinc andcopper gold Also considering the existence of the magmatic bodies in the area silicic and propiliticalterations and oxidation conditions with presence of iron oxide with type of specularite correlation coefficient and the manner of the precipitation of the materials is the mostprobable mineralization type of polymetal copper gold is of hydrothermal epithermal inthe areaKey words Aftabroo polymetal index copper gold iron zinc cluster analysis IP RS epithermal
