76 Ahmaaad m66@gmail com Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran May 2016Degree M Sc Language FarsiSuperviser Mohammad Taghi Jafari Email jafari@cc iut acAbstract In this research ability of secondary electrospray ionization SESI as a nonradioactive ionizationsource in ion mobility spectrometry IMS was evaluated and compared with electrospray ionization ESI The effects of nonvolatile dopants including chloride bromide and iodide dopants onsensitivity were investigated In this work SESI IMS coupled with dispersive liquid liquidmicroextraction DLLME technique and used for determination of 2 4 6 trinitrotoluene TNT Theeffects of different parameters such as type and volume of extraction solvent type and volume ofdisperser solvent pH and the amount of salt were evaluated and optimized Under the optimizedconditions calibration curve was plotted and the linear dynamic range of 0 4 to 150 g L 1 wasobtained for analysis of TNT The limit of detection was 1 0 g L 1 with intra and inter day RSDs of 5and 7 respectively finally real samples of Defense Industry wastewater river and drinking waterswere analyzed and the obtained results reveal the capability of proposed method for TNT analysis Key Words Socondary electrospray ionization Ion mobility spectrometry trinitrotoluene dispersive liquidliquid microextraction
