61Preparation of acrylic polymer alloy with other vinyl polymers in solution methods and Characterization of electrospun fiber tensile Ali Zamani ali zamani@ce iut ac ir May 25 2016 Department of Chemical Engineering Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language FarsiProf R Bagheri Email Bagheri@cc iut ac irAssist Prof M Masoomi Email mmasoomi@cc iut ac irAbstractIn this research blending a terpolymer consisting of acrylonitril vinyl acetat and 2 acrylamide and2 methyl propane sulfonic acid Amps with vinyl polymers such as poly vinyl chloride and polystyrene was performed by solution method using dimethyl formamide After the scanning electron microscopy was performed on the blended samples and theobservation of incompatibility in the acrylic and styrene terpolymer and also the semi compatibility with poly vinyl chloride two different copolymers of acrylonitril styrene SAN withvarious content of acrylonitril SAN 2 and SAN 5 were used as the compatibilizer between thetwo phases In the first step the compatibility of these copolymers with the acrylic terpolymerwas investigated and then their compatibility role was studied on the terpolymer vinyl polymerblends Diverse tests including strength investigation Scanning electron microscopy differential scanningcalorimetry and wide angle x ray diffraction were performed on the different blended sampleswith fibers produced by electro spinning method showing incompatiblity in acrylic terpolymer poly styrene compound and semi compatiblity in acrylic terpolymer poly vinyl chloridecompound and also shows that SAN 2 copolymer could not fulfill it s role as the compatibiliser inthe acrylic terpolymer poly vinyl chloride compound The results of strength tests on the produced nano fibers from 15 wt solution of the compoundin dimethyl formamide showed a 10 improvement in the modulus of the acrylic termpolymer poly vinyl chloride compound in comparison with the sole terpolymer The SEM images showedthe matrix droplet morphology at the fracture surface of the thin polymer films Keywords acrylonitrile terpolymer vinyl acetat Amps blend Polyvinyl chloride Polystyrene Dimethylformamide
