Simultaneous Planning for Installing Renewable Resources Reactive Power Resources and Distributed Network Configuration Soroush Najafi Soroush najafy@yahoo com 2016 12 19 Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language FarsiDr Hamedani Golshan hgolshan@cc iut ac irAbstractMaximize usage of the many benefits of Distributed Generation DG to minimize adverseeffects is depends on the appropriate DG planning in distributed networks On the other handthe tendency to use renewable energy has been caused installation more Renewable sourcescompared to other traditional sources Renewable DG Planning due to the uncertain natureof these resources has different on several aspects with DG planning with controllableoutput Renewable DG planning is required that probabilistic models has contemplate forthe output of these resource and also use the concepts stochastic programming In addition with due attention to routinely pattern of consumption and production are not applicable achieve to planning aims has difficulties associated with preserving network constraints Toreduce these problems both Distributed Reactive Source DRS planning and networkconfiguration planning can be carried out While its easiest way to achieve the planned aims also these aims becoming much better Thus in this thesis the renewable DG planning including solar wind and biomass sources DRS Planning and network configuration planning has accomplished For this purposeplanning problem is model as an optimization problem with two objectives includeminimizing annual energy losses and maximizing capacity of allocated DG with networkand DG constraints The defined problem is a stochastic programming problem that can besolved for variant combinations of production and consumption Production scenarios basedon historical data and utilization probability distribution models have been generated forsolar radiation and wind speeds This problem for PG E 69 bus distribution network viaGAMS software and PSO algorithm dissolved and important results has obtained fordifferent case studies KeywordsRenewable Energy Distribution Networks DG Planning DRS Planning NetworkConfiguration
