Multicomponent synthesis of 4H pyrans derivatives using Fe3O4@Asp as magnetic nanocatalyst Afshin shabanloui a shabanloui@ch iut ac ir Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 I R IranSupervisor prof H Tavakol h tavakol@cc iut ac ir hosein ta@yahoo com Language PersianDegree M ScAbstract In this work green Synthesis of polyfunctionalized 4H pyrans pharmaceuticalderivatives developed by one pot three component reaction of malononitrile aldehyde andethyl acetoacetate in the presence of Fe3O4@Asp as magnetic nanocatalyst in an ethanolsolvent Fe3O4@Asp nano catalyst was obtained by coating of Aspartic acid on the surfaceof Fe3O4 nanoparticles The catalyst was characterized by FT IR XRD and TGA analysis Morphology and size of Fe3O4@Asp were studied by scanning electronmicroscopy SEM In the next step the reaction between benzaldehyde malononitrile andethyl acetoacetate were selected and their behavior was studied under different conditions The best results from the reaction of benzaldehyde malononitrile and ethyl acetoacetateobtained at molar ratios of 1 1 1 at 70oC and at the presence of 10 weight percentage ofthe catalyst that calculated to aldehyde weight ratio for 6 hours in ethanol The finalprecipitate is separated by the filter paper washed and purified using hot ethanol andidentified by color melting point IR and NMR analysis Keywords green chemistry multicomponent reactions pyran magnetic nanocatalyst
