1Assesment and recogntion of hydrothermal alteration associatedwith Cu Au mineralization in south of Mola Ahmad cute East of Isfahan Amir hossein ramharand a ramharand@mi iut ac ir Department of mine Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan IranDegree M Sc Language farsiSupervisor Morteza Tabaei and Houshang AsadiharooniAbstract The southern part of Mullah Ahmad area is located in 60 km of southwest of Nain town along the Urumiyeh Dokhtar volcanic arc Mineralization is mostly associated withhydrothermal alteration in the Cenozoic felsic units of pyroxene andesite and trachyandesite In this study remote sensing studies were conducted to identify the alteration zones inrelation to mineral and copper mineralization in the region For this purpose the satelliteimages of the study area were pre processed and then analyzed by false color combination band ratio least squares regression and spectral anlgle mapper SAM Argilic Flick salterations were identified in some propylitic and siliceal alteration regions After that theKalchoveye index and the Lakht mountains which had similar altrations similar to thoseidentified for the copper gold mineralization were identified on the study area and thealteration The two areas were also studied Subsequently the Kahwiyeh copper gold vein deposit was investigated due to thesimilarity of the alterations in the area with the alterations identified as alterations inrelation to copper gold mineralization and for determining the criteria of exploration Inthe field visit of Primary sulfide minerals including pyrite chalcopyrite galena andsphalerite were oxidized to a significant extent Observations were made from differentmineralization zones of this ore deposit The mineralization of the deposit was carried outin both primary and Secondary Supergen In the secondary mineralization underoxidation and weathering conditions the phase Oxide including hematite guanidine limonite malachite azorite and copper After examining the polished sections of the iris and the wall of the vein of the vein ageochemical analysis was carried out In some samples the grade of gold was more than 1ppm usually the gold standard for gold and the arsenic grade More than 2000 grams perton indicating the presence of an enriched gold zone within the range A percentage ofsamples had copper grade and a large part of them had copper with a grade of more than0 2 indicating the presence of a poly metal mineralization zone in the region Mineralogy and geochemical studies of Kalchoever deposit showed that this deposit is ofepithelial type with volcanic volcanic rocks In the end a series of similar potential points of Kalchivia and the Lakht mountains wereintroduced for further exploration Keyword Remote sensing Alteration Epithelial Copper gold mineralization Highpotential points
