Improvement of the transmission rate in cooperative cognitive radio networks based on game theory Ehsan mardani ehsan mardani@ec iut ac ir Date of Submission May 12 2019 Isfahan University of Technology Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Degree M Sc Language Farsi Supervisors Naghmeh Sadat Moayedian moayedian@cc iut ac irForoogh Sadat Tabataba fstabataba@cc iut ac irAbstract In last years demand for spectrum has increased Due to the advancement of mobile industry inrecent years spectrum shortage has become a serious problem It is clear that the traditional spec trum allocation is no longer effective which will result in the lack of use of the bandwidth Dynamicaccess to the spectrum is a solution to this problem Also the researchers have suggested cooperativecommunication to increase coverage and decrease fading effect In cooperative communication thesource node and relay node send information to the destination The combination of these two net works is taken into consideration High efficiency high rate quality of link and full use of bandwidthare the advantages of this scenario In this thesis we particularity discuss about rate information The cognitive radio network in this thesis consist of two primary users multiple secondary users andone secondary destination user which is all secondary users have to send their information to it Theprimary user select nodes from secondary users as a relay that is base on the power and the energycriterion We aim to maximize the rate of network To this end we use game theory which is theprimary user and the relays are players The kind of the game perform as a recurrent method thatthe secondary users operate as a slave and the primary users master select their quantities that arebased on the definite quantities has selected by secondary users Based on the results which has ob tained from simulation of all secondary networks that it could transmit data per specific time unit Also increasing number of relay could decrease the rate of transmission that is based on the distancefor both primary and secondary networks All of optimum points for maximum power of secondarynetworks the length of the time unit Has been concluded from suggested system model KeywordsCooperative cognitive radio network Transmission rate Cooperative communication Games theory
