Integrated management of the distribution of water irrigation networks in water scarcity coditions Case Study Qazvin irrigation network Mohammad Ali Asgharzadeh ma asgharzadeh@ag iut ac ir Dec 18 2019 Department of Water Engineering Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran1st Supervisor Manoucheher Heidarpour heidar@cc iut ac ir Professor of Hydraulic Department of Water Engineering College of Agriculture Isfahan University ofTechnologyAbstractThe effective management of available water for irrigation in arid region like Iran hasbecome increasingly important due to limited water supply Effective management of water resources and their efficient use in drought conditions isvery important in agricultural sector Deficit irrigation is an optimal solution to producecrop under this conditions It requires integrated accurate and efficient managementwhich is quite different from the classic irrigation management An irrigation managermust determine what rate of deficit irrigation to be applied at each stage of growth inthe other words deficit irrigation scheduling DIS should provide water requirement ofplant during the growing season based on water resources in a way which leads to themaximum efficiency In this study a DIS heuristic algorithm called HADIS isdeveloped which is able to estimate the time frequency and depth of irrigation eventsaccording to Corp Water Production Function CWPF and FAO 56 leading tomaximum yield and water productivity HADIS is written using C# language in VisualStudio 2010 In addition in order to optimize CWPF GAMS 24 1 software along withLindo GlobalSolver are used and SQL Server 2008 is employed as the database Theresults of implementing different water soil and crop scenarios proved the capability ofHADIS in producing maximum crop productivity The aim of this study is to provide anintegrated system of irrigation water planning and distribution of irrigation networkwater in terms of drought with reliability and decision making for one year due tolimitations of existing network status along with the evaluation of model results If theirrigation system is managed irrigation scheduling can be the basis for the networkwater distribution plan The achievement of this method is timely distribution of
