The participation and presence of women in society and in various economic and social activities are significant indicators of human development. The importance of social issues, such as the index of social hope, in fostering and strengthening entrepreneurial spirit, particularly among rural women, is one of the most critical topics in rural development, especially in developing countries like Iran. Therefore, the present study was designed and conducted with the primary objective of examining the relationship between social hope and the entrepreneurship index among rural women in Isfahan County. The research method was descriptive-correlational, and data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire in the field. The questionnaires were designed on a 5-point Likert scale. The sample size was 200 individuals. The social hope index was measured by seven components: desire for change, desire for progress, goal-setting, effort, planning, aspiration, and responsibility. The entrepreneurship index was measured with four indicators: technical skills, management skills, entrepreneurial skills, and personal maturity skills. The psychological index was measured with seven components: pragmatism, achievement orientation, internal control, dream orientation, challenge-seeking, risk-taking, and tolerance for ambiguity. The results indicated a significant relationship between individuals' risk-taking and their ability to manage surrounding outcomes, entrepreneurial skills, and managerial skills. Additionally, there was a positive and highly significant relationship between psychological factors and overall social hope and its components. Furthermore, there was a highly significant relationship between the overall psychological index and overall entrepreneurship and its components. Trust in the community, a sense of security in the community, satisfaction with business, life satisfaction, and the ability to manage surrounding events also had a positive and significant relationship with the overall psychological index. There was a significant relationship between the overall social hope index and the overall psychological index and its components (except for tolerance for ambiguity), as well as with overall entrepreneurship and all its components. The overall social hope index also had a significant relationship with business satisfaction and self-reported social hope. The findings of the study revealed that the overall entrepreneurship index, as one of the dependent variables, is closely related (approximately 60%) to variables such as social hope, pragmatism, business impact, and capital. The most significant positive influence was related to the individual's pragmatism, social hope, and business satisfaction. Additionally, the overall social hope index of the community, as one of the dependent variables, was closely related (approximately 58%) to variables such as overall entrepreneurship, internal control, dream orientation, educational aspirations, and business satisfaction. The most significant positive influence was related to overall entrepreneurship, followed by internal control and dream orientation. In general, it can be concluded that the development of strong support networks can enhance social hope and self-confidence among rural women and improve their entrepreneurial indicators.
