Abstract In this research the effect of Carbaryl Diflubenzuron and Bacillus thuringiesis Lepinox independently and different combinations of them were tested againstHeliothis viriplaca in laboratory and field In order to conduct bio say experiments thepupae were collected from the fields and reared under controlled conditions ThirdLarval stage was used for bioassay experiments In bioassay experiments the bestconcentration of compounds were selected individually and in combination usingrandomized block design In the field experiment the best doses chosen from laboratoryresults were tested in a randomized block design In order to determine the best time ofspray with recording the plant growth and numbers of eggs and larvae and by using thelight traps the phenology of plant and pest were studied The laboratory tests showedthat B t with the concentration of 2600 ppm and 1900 ppm reve ed the best result andCarbaryl with concentration of 1900 ppm was in the second rank Diflubenzuron withconcentration of 600 ppm after Carbaryl 1600 ppm was in the sixth rank Thecomparison of tested compout lds inQiy dually at ld in cqmbination showed that mixtureof I Carbaryl Diflubenzuron and B t 2 Carbaryl and B t 3 Diflubenzuron and B t were better than other treatments p 0 01 and Carbaryl and Diflubenzuron mixture had least effect with no statistical difference with B t effect Field results showed that adultinsects emerged from diapuse in mid April to early June and fourteen days after catch peak of activity of small larvae 1 and 2 instar was observed d coincided with the 50 of inflorescence of plant In the field results showed that there wasn t any significant difference between 1 B t 2 mixture of Carbaryl and Diflubenzuron 3 mixture of Carbaryl and t 4 m tMre of Carl aryl Difl beQZuron and B t and 5 Carbaryl treatments p 0 01 Diflubenzuron didn t have sufficient effects for larvalcontrol Spray was effective on the number of damaged pods yield and 1000 seedweight Control treatment with thirty percent damage had the highest damage Yieldand 1000 seed weight were less than others in Diflubenzuron with mean 922 2 kg h and control treatment 911 42 kg h but had highest weight of 1000 seeds with 361 07and 364 6g from other treatments respectectly These results showed that treatmentshad significant effect in the first 24 hours after spraying to control the pest and increasethe yield Although Carbaryl d i re of C ar aryl and piflubenzuron only in thefirst 24 hours had high mortality on the pest but didn t have any significant effect onthe yield increase Jr i fJ v w I f
