Abstract For investigate the effect of e nzyme supplementation on wheat and inedible pastautilization in broiler diets and also to evaluate feeding value of inedible pasta twoexperiments were conducted Before diets formulation the ingl edients used in thisexperiment were analyzed The xylanase and beta glucanaseactivities of crude enzymepreparation was determined to be 1260 and 390 units per gram of crude preparationrespectively In the first experiment AME AMEn TME and TMEn and apparent drymatter and fat digestibilities and the ratio between amount of excreted and consumednitrogen of wheat com and inedible pasta samples was measured by use of Sibbaldprocedure Second experiment was conducted by use of 1008 Ross strain broiler chicksof 7 days of age and In factorial arrangement wIth 7 different diets diet based on com soybean meal and diets containing 20 40 and 60 percent of wheat and inedible pasta 3levels of e nzyme addition 0 500 and 1000 units per kilogram of diets 3 replicates forevery treatment and 16 bIrds per each The experimental diets were isocaloric andisomtrgenous Recording of peiformance traits carried out in 21 42 and 49 days ofrearing For determination of nitrogen fat ash and total carbohydrate digestibilities andalso for determination of digesta viscosity and pH 4 birds per replicate selectedrandomly and killed by cervical dislocation at 28 days of age Weignt and length ofdigestive organs was measured at this age too In total highest apparent dry matter digestibility assigned to inedible pasta The fat digestibility was not affected by feedtype but e nzyme addition caused to significant improvement P 0 05 In fatdigestibility About nitrogen retention was highly markedly difference P O OOOl between three feed types but use of e e was unaffected in this case AMEn ofwheat inedible pasta and com was determined to be 3330 46 3684 32 and 3442 77kcal kg respectively In the second experiment diet type had a highly si ificant effect P O OOO on feed intake in every periods of e eriment and on total intake but effect 1 of enzyfi te addition depended on rearing period In total both type of diet intake ande e level had a highly si ificant effect P O OOOl on average daily gains In the oWth period diet type and e nzyme supplementation had a highly si ificant effect P O OOOl on feed conversion ratio The Dest ratios of feed converSIon was assi ed to iets containing inedible pasta Use of wheat and inedible pasta in the diets caused toincrease in jejenal and ileal digesta viscosity of birds E e addition decreased indigesta viscosity of both these sections Type of diet intake had a highly significanteffect P O OOOl on small intestine and cecal length and use of enzyfi te caused tosi ificant decrease in length of this sections The effect of feed type on relative weightof small and large intestine and cecum was si ificant but enzyme addition caused to si ficant decrease P O OOOl relative weight of small intestine only Utilization of ininedible pasta in diets caused to decrease in gizzard weight Feed type had a highly significant effect P O OOOl on relative weight of liver with lowest weights for dietscontaining inedible pasta E nzyme su pplementationcaused to unsignificant decrease inrelative weight of liver Diets contaimng inedible pasta had a highest weight of pancreas weight and use of e nzymecaused to decreasein pancreas weight of birds fed with dietscontaining wheat and inedible pasta The ileal digestibility ratios of nitrogen fat ash total carbohydrate organic and dry matter and also AME of diets were highly affected P O OOOl both feed type and e nzymelevel and use ofe nzyme caused to significant by improvement P O OOOl nutrients digestibilities and increase in diets AME as well of pH of jejenal contents was not affected by feed type or enzyme supplementation while pH of ileal and cecal digesta was affected by both diet type P O OOOl and e nzyme addition E nzyme addition caused to decrease in pH of cecal contents Of different sect
