Abstract Gol Gohar Iron Mine which has been located in the southwestside of the city of Sirjon isone of the largest iron ore in Iran Recently this mine had some problems with respect to thehigh concentration of Sulfur in concentrated product This problems originally com from highconcentration of sulfur in the ore To reduce this problem selective mining method must beapplied based on the most reliable sulfur distribution maps To prepare such maps estimationprocesses should be worked out using boreholes and infilles data The estimation methodsused in the present research are Ordinary Kriging and Geostatistical Simulation The firstmethod O K was applied and the estimation error of sulfur was mapped which based on thatthe optimum site selection for more infill drilling was suggested The second method i e Sequential Gaussian Simulation was used and 100 Realizationswere produced for sulfur distribution The range of sulfur Variations obtained from these 100 Realizations can offer the maximum and minimum sulfur values for each block of ore Based on these maximum and minimum sulfur value the ore were classified into four category include less than 0 1 percent sulfur between 0 1 to 0 654 percent sulfur between 0 654 to 1 percent sulfur and more than one percent sulfur The related classified maps were plotted forselective mining y c c c rmii j
