Abstract The aim of this investigation is to study the possibility of recovering of electric arc furnacedust EAFD produced in Mobarakeh Steel Company For this purpose different methodswere examined Briquetting of EAFD and DR fine and investigation of the possibility ofcharging briquettes to electric arc furnace briquetting of EAFD and pellet fine andinvestigation of possibility of reducing of the briquettes and investigation for the possibleusesof EAFD in concrete and cement Addition of EAFD in briquettes increases compressive strength of the briquettes Chargingof briquettes made of EAFD in EAF has a neglectable effect on energy consumption Compressive strength of the briquettes made of EAFD and pellet fine was also higher thanthe standard briquettes The briquettes made of EAFD and pellet fine have a highreducibilityb but low linder factor Sintering of these briquettes at OC also had nonoticable effect on their linder factor Addition of water to the briquettes mixture couldimprove both comressive strength and linder index Addition of EAF dust to cement decreased initial and final setting times and increasedhydration heat considerably It also decreasedslump of the concrete Finally addition of ZYdust to concrete cement does not have a noticable affect on the comressive strength of theconcreteand Z dust decreasesthis property rJ i A t l y 1o J ill 1f II J q
