AbstractTo analyze and research about the effect of inlet dampers on the behavior of viscose fluid inthe centrifugal fan the Navier Stokes equations in the domain of internal duct dampers insidethe fan and the external duct have been integrated After calculating the distribution of speed pressure and wall stress by means of several turbulence model the standard k turbulencemodel has been utilized and the most efficient model First of all 3D simulation of flow insidethe fan has been done separately Then in order to add the geometry of duct and dampers tothe geometry of the fan the numerical resembling has been done by means of the FLUENTsoftware More ever the available document is capable of integrating the three dimensionalNavier Stokes equations According to the finite volume method controlling the flow of thephysical quantities on the control volume has been calculated by means of the stimulations ofsecond order upwind The SIMPLE algorithm is used as a velocity pressure correctionprocedure Method the utilized mesh is unstructured and body fitted which is product bypreprocessor The achieved results show that using dampers will cause the fluid to peroratebefore reaching the impeller When dampers are closed this circulation will occur and amountof effective head and the ability of its consumption will reduce Also it s possible to achievethe most efficiency of the man with regulating the power of the stimulator in different anglesof dampers This will cause improvement in the energy consumption Further more it will beimportant and useful in different area such as power plant and the like The results based onnumerical integration and experimental activities show a fine adaptation
