ABSTRACTWith development of railway system and employing high speed train for transportation utilizing of optimum parts in system is necessary Rail is one of the most important partsin railway system Researches show that high contact stress is one of the causes ofwearing in rail especially in track curvature In this thesis the first aim is to study thecontact pressure in track curvature The second one is obtaining more reasonabledistribution of contact pressure along gauge rail using an optimization algorithm Finally results obtained by optimization compared to standard results Optimization simulationshave done by design sensitivity analyses in ABAQUS software
