Abstract Increased in human and domestic animal population leads to extremely use ofagricultural area natural recourses and then increased in soil erosion One of the importantcauses of soil erosion is water resources contamination In this case agricultural runoff is anon point source of water pollution Increased in runoff phosphorous leads to accelerationin eutrification processes of water resources However the aims of this research were to thepredict of runoff sediment and to model soluble and sediment bound phosphorous lossusing ANSWERS model A watershed with an area of 13 6 hectares is located in Solijansub basin in the northern Karon watershed Sensitivity model was analyzed with a 10 changes in input parameters The total runoff has the highest and the lowest sensitivity tofinal infiltration capacity FC and Manning s n coefficient respectively A 10 increasedand decreased in FC leads to 24 4 decreased and 21 9 increased in total runoff respectively Average soil loss had the highest and the lowest sensitivity to FC and soilporosity respectively A 10 increased in FC and soil porosity leads to 22 9 increasedand 3 6 decreased in average soil loss respectively Total phosphorous loss had thehighest and the lowest sensitivity to FC and soil porosity respectively Hydrographcalibration was performed by increasing FC maximum infiltration capacity in excess ofFC and antecedent soil moisture to 24 15 and 12 percent respectively Sedigraphcalibration was performed by increasing soil erosivity factor and cropping and managementfactor to 13 and 25 percent respectively Validation results showed that ANSWERS modelsimulations have a good coincidence with observed data for total runoff total sediment time to discharge peak and time to sediment discharge peak There was a high relationshipbetween total sediment and sediment bound phosphorous loss Comparison of the soilerosion map and the slope map showed that the erosion and the sedimentation processeshave been activated in the north and south of the sub basin
