Abstract Leveling is a process of cutting and filling in which soils of higher parts are placed inlower parts Under this replacement some physical chemical and biological properties ofsoil surface will be changed This study aims to investigate the effect of laser landleveling on some physical and mechanical properties of moderately coarse and finetextured soils The measurements were carried out on three different times in Lavark andKhazaneh Experimental Farm stations The study plots were 40 90 m and were grided in10 10 m totally 50 grid points The soil samples were taken at each grid point Theresults were analyzed by statistical and geostatistical procedures and the map of spatialvariability for the measured properties were drawn using kriging method interpolationapproaches in GS software To determine the effect of tillage management on twodifferent times after leveling the mean weight diameter MWD was estimated at higherparts of the cut field Results showed that penetration resistance of the soils subjected toleveling increased significant p 0 05 with time Despite our expectation soil bulkdensity did not show any significant changes with time The result also indicated that soilparticle distribution was not affected by leveling process
