AbstractThe main objective in present thesis is to gain a method to simulate and analyze of Spring back matter in creep forming of titanium sheets using ABAQUS software Thisabstract contains the main titles of what is done to achieve this goal and the results as well In first chapter common information about various forming methods and theircharacteristics are given and then creep forming and spring back phenomenon areintroduced By comparing the usual specifications of creep forming with other commonforming processes the importance and efficiency of creep forming becomes obvious Infollowing a brief summery of practical and theoretical done projects about creep formingand spring back are considered and at end some industrial applications especially inaerospace are introduced In second chapter experiments for studding material behaviorrelated to time and their diagrams are considered and the standard creep diagram is studied In following governing equations over creep behavior of material are introduced and thehomogenized creep equations for a plate under pure bending have been derived In thirdchapter ABAQUS capabilities and tools for simulating a creep behavior of materials arediscussed Various creep models in software library are introduced and each characteristicis studied Following that Integration methods which analyze creep behavior areconsidered and valid limits for each are studied At end various analyzing methods arediscussed In fourth chapter the used procedure for simulating creep forming and spring back matter in ABAQUS software is completely explained and problems due to eachsimulation step are fully discussed In fifth chapter firstly the results gained fromsimulation described in previous chapter are explained and regarding to diagrams gainedfrom results the effect of each influencive parameter in spring back behavior isdemonstrated Regarding to effective parameters three major parameters are studied These parameters are initial forming process duration time creep duration time and work piece thickness According to results and diagrams gained from simulation and analysis itis demonstrated that the amount of spring back of work piece is independent to initialforming duration time but due to straight relation between the amount of revealing stressand creep duration time and wok piece thickness the amount of spring back directlydepends on these two parameters Following that by comparing the simulation results withdone projects the result verification is well approved and a summarized finalization aboutcreep behavior and characteristics is performed at the end Finally some suggestions forcontinuing the project and its development are made
