AbstractTransportation has been one of the most aspects of human s life since its beginning on the faceof earth Quality and the capacity of the transportation system has a direct effect on a regionsdevelopment This can be investigated through comparing the transportation systemcharacteristics in developed societies and other parts of the world On the other hand industrial growth reinforces the need to transportation infrastructures and thisfacts emphasis on the planning and policy making in this field Land use as the main parameter in trip production in a region plays an important role in thetraffic situation In this thesis using reliable data collected from Isfahan we have implemented aheuristic model for estimating the land use parameters in future Using this model we haveestimated the origin destination matrices for future
