AbstractShock absorbers are the equipment for damping the energy which is divided into twoparts reversible and irreversible Irreversible shock absorbers are usually used in placeswhich exposed to objects falling such as elevators Those sorts of absorber consume theenergy by means of converting the kinetic energy to plastic strain energy therefore theyare not reversible These absorbers are available in different shapes Recyclable ones mostly contain of a spring a damper and a plate that the springaccumulate the energy and the damper damp it These absorbers are applicable indifferent industries such as automotive railing telecabin In the present study first the spring and damper of absorber are investigated andnumerically simulated To available the simulation the results are compared withanalytical ones Then to simulate the material in the impact condition the coefficients ofviscose elastic and constitutive equation are extracted by means of empirical test Afterthat by the simulation of the rubber in finite element code comprehensive analyses areperformed The results are compared with the available experimental tests which showthat the numerical results are in a good agreement with theoretical solution andexperimental test Eventually to investigate the damages to sheet edge this case are simulated in variouscondition
