AbstractIn sheet metal forming weight reduction of a formed part is one of the most seriousproblems and this strongly requires the use of sheets that are as thin as possible The forming limit in conventional deep drawing with rigid tools is qualified mainlyby fracture at the punch profile por tion which occurs in general when the ensile stressat the punch profile portion exceeds the ultimate tensile strength of the material A new process of friction aided deep drawing has been developed in which thefriction force between the blank and the blank holder is used to aid the drawingdeformation of the blank This has been achieved by using a divided blank holder which consists of four segments and can move radially under axial pressureThe drawing process can be combined with a supplemental punch which gives aconstant punch force during the drawing process The aim of this research issimulation and analysis a new process by Finite Element and Slab and Energy Methodfor increasing limited drawing ratio This work compare with lat work Thesimulation and experimental resuls show thatthere is no fracture at the flange ofdeforme blank wich is often observd in Maslennikov s process at the end of thisresearch limited drawing reach to 3 8
