AbstractPorous nanofiber has many applications in medical filtration pharmacy and tissueengineering and its production and applications are very important One of the methodsfor producing porous nanofibers is electrospinning of nanofiber composite and extractingnanoparticles from the polymer matrix In this study nanofiber composite of polyamide6 6 calcium carbonate is produced by electrospinning method Suitable conditions forproducing nanofiber were studied Due to the reaction between formic acid as a solventand calcium carbonate nanoparticles the polymer matrix was changed Subsequently poly acrylonitrile PAN was used as polymer and PAN nanofiber was produced usingconcentration of 14 17 W W of PAN and calcium carbonate in dimethyl formamide Calcium carbonate nanoparticles were extracted from the poly acrylonitrile matrixUsing diluted chloridric acid bath Gravimetry titration and atomic absorption methodswere used for measuring the amount of extracted calcium carbonate In this study themost suitable method was chosen to be atomic absorption Suitable conditions forextraction and the effect of acid concentration DMF surface area of nanofiber web temperature time and percentage of calcium carbonate on extracted calcium carbonatewere investigated In order to study the structure and average diameter of the poresproduced TEM and SEM microscopes were used The SEM pictures show that thenanofiber diameters are in the range of 270 720 nm and pores diameters are 2 3 times ofdiameter of nanoparticles TEM observation of the pores produced by extraction of onenanoparticle or some nanoparticle was observed The results show that increasingconcentration of chloridric acid up to 5 has the maximum extraction and increasing ofconcentration more than 5 has no effect on the extraction of calcium carbonate fromnanofibers Presence of DMF in the extraction bath has no effect on the calciumcarbonate extraction amount Increasing of surface area will increase the extraction Alsoincreasing temperature from 25 to 50 C will increase the extraction amount up to 31 5 but increasing the temperature from 50 to 100 C not only has no effect on extraction butalso decomposes the nanofiber web Increasing the time of extraction up to 72 hours willincrease the extraction amount up to 18 but after 72 hours the extraction is constant The maximum extraction is due to the 5 calcium carbonate in polymer solution andwith increasing the carbonate calcium up to 10 the extraction has no significantincrease
