Feasibility of Development Urban Village Pattern in Isfahan Province Case Study View Point in Ashegh Abad and Nehzat Abad Rural Ziba Saberi saberi@ec iut ac ir Date of Submission July 4 2010 Department of Rural Development Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language Farsi Supervisor Ahmad Khatoon Abadi Ahmad kh @cc iut ac ir Abstract In Feasibility aspects urban village that place in which biological features necessary to satisfy basic and fundamental need economics social and cultural groups living in it so that future generations can continue to live there to provide On the other hand the urban village should provide aspects of economic life based on the rural economy including manufacturing and related services to agricultural and urban infrastructure also The goal of this research was determined the views and expectations of rural residents Ashegh Abad and nehzat Abad in aspects of economic social and physical development pattern of the urban village has developed The research were conducted in the form of documents and survey study with residents views in relation to urban village development in two areas explained and then compared Required data for this research collected by 200 people of Ashegh Abad and 170 people of Nehzat Abad were sampled by using random sampling Data were collected via a questionnaire The reliability of questionnaire was obtained by calculating the cronbach alpha coefficient for economic social and physical respectively 0 71 0 82 0 84 The results of the study for the establishment of indicators to describe pattern of urban village showed that in the Ashegh Abad village economic social and physical features and in the Nehzat Abad social economic and physical capabilities priorities for pattern of urban village development are involved The test results t test showed that the views of residents on both societies Ashegh Abad and Nehzat Abad with the ability economic social and physical to create an urban village are significant differences thus to develop pattern urban village economic capabilities Ashegh Abad higher social and physical Nehzat Abad also suitable Therefore the finding to all the intended perpose and establish sustainable patterns of urban village need for aggregation indexes and variables in each of these in features both of the rural Key Words Feasibility Urban village Economics social and infrastructure capability View point
