Application of Multi walled Carbon Nanotube Trichloro terpyridine Ruthenium III Promazine as Mediator to Prepare of Electrochemical Sensors forDetermination of Glutathione and Cysteamine Hossein Khosropour h Khosropour1985@gmail com Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language FarsiBehzad Rezaei B Rezaei@cc iut ac irAbstract In this research is proposed application of multi walled carbon nanotubes MWCNTs formodification of carbon paste electrode as a working electrode in the presence of organic inorganicmediators Also studied electrochemical behavior of these modified electrodes in an aqueous buffer solutionare studied for the determination of glutathione GSH and cysteamine CA using cyclic voltammetry CV chronoamperometry CA and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy EIS Firstly electrochemical behavior of modified trichloro terpyridine ruthenium multi wallednanotubes electrod on the determination of glutathione is The electrochemical behavior of the compounds at thismodified electrode was studied by cyclic voltammetry CV and differential pulse voltammetry DPV The resultsshow that the chemically modified electrode exhibits efficient electrocatalytic activity in the oxidation of GSH thecatalytic peak currents were linearly dependent on the GSH concentrations in the ranges 0 8 56 8 M GSH Detection limits for GSH were 0 6 M The relative standard deviation RSD for 3 8 M GSH were 1 3 Thekinetics parameters VXFK DV HOHFWURQ WUDQVIHU FRHIILFLHQW DQG FDWDO WLF UHDFWLRQ UDWH FRnstant kh 3 08 103M 1 s 1 were also determined using electrochemical approaches The diffusion coefficient for GSH at the Rucomplex modified carbon nanotubes paste electrode was determined as 1 64 10 4 cm2 s Finally the sensor wasexamined as a selective simple and precise new electrochemical sensor for determination of GSH in real samplessuch as erythrocyte hemolysed in the normal subjects and urine Finally the oxidation of cysteamine also has been studied at modified carbon paste electrode withpromazine as a homogenous mediator using cyclic voltammetry linear sweep voltammetry chronoamperometry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy as diagnostic and measurementtechniques Cyclic voltammetric measurements showed that the catalytic current of the system depends onthe concentration of the CA For determination of CA some of apparatus and cocentration parameters 5 3 0 u 10 4 M promazine were optimized Under the optimized conditions the calibrationpHcurves were linear in the concentration range of 3 1912 5 M for CA with a LOD 1 7 M The relativestandard deviation for 30 0 M CA is 1 4 The chronoamperometry was used to determine the catalytic
