Preparation of electrochemical sensor and coupling of this method with extraction method based on nanoparticles for study of electrochemical interaction of some nanoparticles to assay some antibiotics and mercury and cadmium ions Alireza Allafchian E Mail alafchian@yahoo com Sep 15 2012 Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology 84156 83111 Isfahan IranSupervisor Prof AliasgharEnsafi E Mail address Ensafi@cc iut ac irAdvisor Prof Behzad Rezaei Assoc Prof Mohammad Saraji Department Graduate Program Coordinator Assoc Prof Hossein Tavakol Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Tel 98 311 3912369 Fax 98 311 3912350AbstractIn this research five electrochemical sensors based on various modifiers were fabricated forsensitive and selective determination of some antibiotic compounds In continues A newmethod has been proposed based on liquid three phase micro extraction and insitu differential pulseanodic stripping voltammetry for the micro extraction and quantificationof mercury II andcadmium II ions At the first the modified glassy carbon electrode activated with multiwallcarbon nanotubes decorated MgFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles to determine ciprofloxacin After optimization of several effective parameters ciprofloxacin was determined in the rangeof 0 1 1000 mol L 1 and detection limit of 0 01 mol L 1 At second the modified glassycarbon electrode with multiwall carbon nanotubes decorated NiFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticleswas used to determin of cefixime This sensor was optimized and used for determination ofcefixime in the range of 0 1 600 mol L 1 with detection limit of 0 02 mol L 1 At third sotalol was determined using multiwall carbon nanotubes decorated NiFe2O4 magneticnanoparticles modified glassy carbon electrode Under the optimum conditions sotalol afteroptimization was determined in the range 0 5 1000 mol L 1 with detection limit of 0 09 mol L 1 Multiwall carbon nanotubes decorated with MgCr2O4 magnetic nanoparticles wasused to selective and sensitive determination of azithromycin Under the optimum conditions it was determined in the range of 0 25 10 mol L 1 with detection limit of 0 07 mol L 1 Incontinue the modified glassy carbon electrode with multiwall carbon nanotubes decoratedFeCr2O4 magnetic nanoparticles was used to determin of amoxicillin This sensor wasoptimized and used for determination of amoxicillin in the range of 0 1 70 mol L 1 withdetection limit of 0 05 mol L 1 Some techniques such as differential pulse voltammetry andlinear sweep voltammetry were used for sensitive determination of above compounds All ofthese modified electrodes were successfully applied to the determination of biological
