Application of molecularly imprinted polymers MIPs and their grafting on the nano materials for sensors fabrication in determination of pharmaceutical compounds Omid Rahmanian o rahmanian@ch iut ac ir Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 IranDegree PhD Language FarsiBehzad Rezaei E mail rezaei@cc iut ac irAbstract In this thesis we used molecularly imprinted polymer MIP in order to extraction of analyte frommatrix samples by detectors such as ion mobility spectrometry and electrochemistry To improve MIPcharacterization synthesis of the polymer was changed In this work an imprinted polymer was synthesized Theresults obtained provided the detection limits of 0 2 ng mL for Phenazopyridine In the second part of this thesis MIP was immobilized on the surface of multi wall carbon nanotubes MIPCNT In the third part of this thesis nanolayer MIP is used to achieve suitable conformation for catalyzing allopurinol redox reaction Thin film ofMIPCNT with specific recognition sites for Allopurinol was cast on glassy carbon electrode In the fourth part anovel sensitive molecularly imprinted electrochemical biosensor was prepared for determination of Warfarinusing electrochemical deposition of MIP layer within multi wall carbon nanotubes and gold nanopartcles as adouble layer In the fifth part of this thesis a sensitive sensor based on imprinted polymer strategy usingelectropolymerization was fabricated for determination of Lorazepam In the last section of this thesis thestrategy construction of the MIP was changed to Sol gel method and a sensitive sensor to determination of thepromazine was constructed Keywords molecularly imprinting polymer electropolymerization carbon nano tube AuNPs electrochemical sensors ion mobility spectrometry pharmaceutical compounds 1 Introduction As a capable element for specific recognition molecularly imprinted polymers MIPs have paying attention in recent years Ye et al 2008 Molecular imprinting technique is anapproach to synthesizing a polymer matrix with molecular recognition sites which arespecific in shape and size to the target molecular exhibiting specific high binding behaviors
