Assessment of Soil Quality Index with Zinc Fertilizer and its Concentration Wheat Grain Sedigheh Rahimi Fahimeh r 66@YAHOO COM Department of Soil Science College of Agriculture Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language Farsi Supervisors M Afyuni Afyuni@cc iut ac ir A H Khoshgoftarmanesh amirhkhosh@cc iut ac ir Abstract Management of organic and inorganic treatments may have positive or negative results on soil quality the plant growth and human nutrition This research was conducted at Agricultural Research Station Roudasht Isfahan Iran After preparation of the plots and addition of experimental treatments such as sewage sludge and cow manure at 5 and 10 t ha ash rubber at 1 t ha powder rubber at 200 kg ha ZnSO4 fertilizer at 40kg ha and control wheat Triticum aestivum L CV Back Cross Roshan was cultivated Soil samples were collected at two stage tillering and harvest After taking samples and measurements of the soil parameters determine critical limits for each category and class rating for the each soil parameters and the soil quality index was calculated The objectives of this study were to determine the effect of organic and inorganic zinc fertilizer application on soil quality indicators and wheat yield The results showed sewage sludge and rubber ash were significantly effective in increasing soil bioavailable Zn compared to other treatments Application of organic manure sewage sludge and cow manure at 10t ha to improve soil quality Calculating the soil quality index can be expanded to better understand the effect of fertilizers treatments on soil A positive and significant relationship between soil quality indicators and performance and on the amount of zinc were seen Key words Soil quality index scored method biofortification zinc sewage sludge cow manure rubber ash
