Estimating of copper mineralization potential and it s type in Alishar index in Markazi province Khaled Alahvaisi k alahvaisi@mi iut ac ir Date of Submission 2013 9 18 Department of Mining Engineering Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language FarsiSupervisors Dr Ahmad Reza Mokhtari and Dr Hooshang Asadi HarooniAbstractAlishar copper mineralization located in Markazi province is situated 20 kilometers north of theArak city Structurally this mineralization is located on Orumieh Dokhtar magmatic arc havingmoderate topography 21 rock samples were collected from different geological units in order tostudy mineralogy and lithology by preparing 6 thin and 18 polished sections Then two stages ofregional geochemical sampling were taken by collecting 18 lithogeochemical samples All 18samples were analyzed for multi elements including Cu Au As Mo Statistical analyzes weredone on the results in order to extract the hidden information inside dataset Different maps werecreated displaying the anomalous samples among them Additionally this study included analysisof ASTER and ETM satellite images to highlight the phyllic argillic and propylitic alterationswhich might be related to possible mineralized zones Different techniques such as band ratio selective principal component analysis spectral angular mapper combined adaptive filter areemployed for processing According to the field observations and preliminary analysis of coppermineralization in the area mineralization type is likely to be porphyry In addition to mapmineralization potential of the study area fuzzy method was used from integration of differentlayers
