Minimizing Total Weighted Tardiness and Delivery Cost for an Integrated Production and Distribution Scheduling Model in Supply Chain Seyed Reza Rezaei sr rezaei@in iut ac ir Date of Submission 2013 09 22 Department of Industrial Engineering Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language FarsiSupervisor Seyed Reza Hejazi Rehejazi@cc iut ac irAbstractThe coordination of production scheduling and transportation has recently received a lot of attention inlogistics and manufacturing management research This thesis addresses the production and deliveryscheduling integration problem a manufacturer receives n orders from one customer while the orders need tobe processed on one machine and be sent to the customer in batches The objective is to minimize the sum ofthe total weighted of tardiness and the delivery costs The problem is strongly NP hard two mathprogramming models including Mixed Integer Non Linear Programming MINLP and Mixed IntegerProgramming MIP models and a Heuristic Algorithm HA are presented for solving it Computational testis performed for evaluation of these three methods The obtained results show that the heuristic algorithm isefficient For determine efficiency Analysis of variance ANOVA technique was used The results showedthat the HA is the most efficient method also In this thesis two new methods including Classic Ant ColonySystem CACS and Generalized Ant Colony System GACS are presented to solve the problem In order toevaluate the efficiency of these two methods computational tests based on full factorial experimental designwas conducted Also Analysis of variance ANOVA technique was used Computational tests demonstratethat the GACS algorithm is capable of generating near optimal solutions Keywords Scheduling Integrated production and distribution Integer programming Heuristic algorithm Ant colonysystem
