59 Study Light And Color Properties Of Light Emitting Polymers Roghaye Mirafzali r mirafzali@tx iut ac ir 2114 12 19 Department Of Textile Engineering Isfahan University Of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iranlanguage Persian Degree M Sc Dr H Khalili khalili@cc iut ac ir Dr S A Hosseini hoseinir@cc iut ac irAbstractIn this study the optical and color properties of light emitting polymers have been studied Light emitting polymers is a polymer that emit light when a voltage is applied to it Recentadvances in the field of light emitting polymers has been the discovery of conjugatedpolymers that is kind of fluorescent polymers that emit light when excited by the flow ofan electric current In the process of fluorescence electron of poly fluorescent materialwhich in normal conditions are in basic energy balance taking energy from a given sourceenergy and energy levels are raised The return of the electron from the excited state to theground state the excitation energy is released as light The purpose of this research is toproduce polymer nanofibers that can emit light in the blue region In order to achieve thisgoal compound the polymer methyl methacrylate polymer with different ratios offluorescence emitted light in the blue region it is completely dissolved in the mixturesolvent of tetra hydro furan and the dimethyl formamide and electrospun in optimumcondition Then the fibers were performed testes spectrophotometer spectral reflectance infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy then were compared the results These results indicate that increasing percent of polymer fluorescence raised the samplesize its due to rod and rigid structure with increasing the amount of fluorescence lightemitter blue in combination light in the presence of uv light and the absence of uv light inthe blue region increases Results of infrared spectroscopy is the fact that no reactionbetween poly methyl methacrylate and light emitting polymer Keywords light emitting polymers electrospinning spectral reflectance scanningelectron microscopy infrared spectroscopy
