Abstract :
Hot deformation behaviour of low carboon steels contaning 1,Cu-1.2,Mn and from 0.14 up to 0.31,Al were investing in the temperature range of 750-960 C over the strain rate ranger of by a hot compression testing machines. It was found that dynamic recrystallization and dynamic recorvery were the controlling restoration processes in the austenic and ferrite phase respectively.Increaing temperature, and decreasing strain promoted the earier onset of dynamic restoration processes, wheres increasing Al content postponed the onset.Subgrain formation and dynamic precipitation of recond phase particles on grain boundaries annd subboundaries in ferrite, and refinement in austenite were the microstructural changes associated with hot deformation of Cu- Mn- A low alloy steels.
