Abstract :
The influence of the conditions of warm rooling on the recrytallization behaviour of there interstitlial free (F) steels was investigated by means of multipass torsion testing.Roughing passes were allpied in either the austenite or ferriterange, with start temperatures of 1260 C and 860C, respectively, whereas the finifhing passes were execulted in the single phase ferrite region (warm rooling), with serval different start temperatures. It is shown that dynamic recrystallization occours to a degree that depends on the composition of the steel and the finishing temperature.Although the finish rolling loads for warm rolling are no higher than for rolling in the austenite region, the ultrafine ferrite grain size of 1-2 that are producd by warm rolling are an order of mannitude finer than those resulting from conventional processing.
