Abstract :
The impact of formal lending on farmersʹ income distribution in Ramgerd (Fars province, Iran) in 1973 was studied. The data, collected through interviews with 38 farmers, were analyzed using such criteria as credit per ha and credit/operating cost-ratios. The results revealed that formal lending had an adverse effect on farmersʹ income distribution.
