  • Abstract
    This Bulletin discusses the major factors affecting soil erosion on slopelands, and the concept appropriate technology for erosion control . The role of the ASIALAND Management of Sloping Lands network is summarized. Various conservation techniques for slopeland farming are described, and their effect on soil erosion and crop performance compared to tradditional slopeland farm practices. The final section discusses the adopition of conservation practices by farmers, and how this adoption rate might be improved.
