Abstract :
Under the Royal Project, sloping agricultural land technology, especially that based on crops, proved to be sucessful in northern Thailand, where large numbers of hilltribe people depend on farming for their livelihood. There in now a renewed interest in animal production for the people in the Royal Project areas. The Thai goverment, in affiliation with the Royal Foundation, is trying to devlop animal production in high altitude areas. More research into intergrated farming systems in highland areas is needed.
