Abstract :
This Bulletin discusses the use of mulches in mulches in slopeland farming. It describes recent research into mulching in two different environmental. One is Taiwan, with a humid subtropical climate, and the other is Shikoku, Japan, with a temperate climate. The effect of mulching on soil and water loss is described. Various types of mulching material are described, including cut grass and a synthetic material made of nylon and paper.
