Abstract :
This study is an attempt to analyze the factors than affect the wage rates of bakery workers in the city of Isfahan, Iran. The data were collected from personal interviews with 445 bakery workers in 160 privately owned bakerines in the city of Isfahan in 1992. Using a multiple regression earmings equation, the natural logarithm of daily wage rates is regressed against different explanatory variables of age, hours worked per day, sex, pervious job, owner attendance, skill level, bakery type, and schooling level. The results show than explanatory variables, with the exception of schooling level, have statistically significant on daily wage rates.
