Abstract :
Tracer studies with C labeled ethene show that for synthesis over a doubly promoted iron catalyst at 7 atm and ca.60,CO conversion, higher carbon number products are formed from ethene initiation. About 10,of the added ethene (ethene]/Co - 0.02) is incorporated into C+5 products and that ca.85,of the ethene that is incorporated dose so by initiating chain growth.
