Abstract :
Experiments, specially on laser compression of pellets, have demonstrated the achievement of highest gain in stagnation-free comperssion. The role and relative magnitude of SCAT and CAT modes have been evaluated. By developing a computer code, gain and reaction ratio dependency on parameters like pellet radius, density and initial energy dependency are cosidered. Regarding this evaluation on gain change, spin polarization is recommended for the suppression of neutron-producing reactions.
