219 The impact of climate change parameters on spatialdistribution yield and some physiological characteristics of two rangeland species Bromus tomentellus Boiss Agropyron trichophorum Link Richt in Central Zagros Iran Hamed Sangoony Hamed Sangoony@na iut ac ir January 3rd 2017 Departmentof Natural Resources Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree PhD Language Persian Dr Mohammadreza Vahabi Vahabi@cc iut ac ir Dr Mostafa Tarkesh Esfahani M Tarkesh@cc iut ac ir AbstractClimate change has affected living organisms in a variety of aspects As a noticeable case theeffect of climate change on spatial distribution and physiological characteristics of two grassspecies Bromus tomentellus Boiss Agropyron trichophorum Link Richt in Central Zagrosrangelands as well as the effect of grazing management on their spatial distribution werecomprehensively studied in present study In order to determine the effect of climate change onspatial distribution 88 presence points of B tomentellus and 96 presence points of A trichophorumwere selected and analyzed in Central Zagros Also 19 bioclimatic variables and 8 modelingapproaches including ANN CART FDA GBM GLM MARS RF SRE were utilized tohighlight the effect of future climate change based on HadCM3 general circulation model in twotime steps 2030 and 2080 under A1B and A2 scenarios on potential habitats of theabovementioned species The results of ensembled models showed that A trichophorum is moresensitive to temperarture and precipitation based climate change and these changes based on A2scenario in 2080 may reduce its climatic suitable range by 77 While B tomentellus depicted alower reaction to these changes with 51 reduction in climatic suitable range the changes arebased on the A1B scenario in 2080 Also model evaluation results showed that GBM and RFoutperformed the other modeling methods In another part of study effects of short term exclosureon the spatial distribution of these two species were studied using their spatial presence data To doso SRE modeling approach a presence only method along with the presence data of each specieswere used to produce the spatial distribution maps before and after the implementation ofexclosures The results showed that the climatic suitable habitat of B tomentellus 125868 ha would spatially occupy more extent than climatic suitable habitat area of A trichophorum 32515ha before the implementation of exclosures However after the grazing management the area ofclimatic suitable habitat of A trichophorum increased by 58 and reached 51562 5 ha while theincrement of climatic suitable habitat of B tomentellus obtained 9 reached 137287 5 ha Thisresults suggest that grazing has a greater relative impact on A trichophorum In physiological
