Abstract In this research the game theoretic approach is applied to make pricing decisionsconcerning the substitutable products under a dual channel structure with both theexclusive and common retailers in the retail channels In fact in this research the attemptsare made to can establish a new structure on the dual channel supply chain Under the considered structure several substitutable products are produced by therival manufacturers and are separately sold under a dual channel structure Themanufacturers sell their products to customers through both the e tail and retail channels simultaneously Each of the manufacturers applies one exclusive retailer as well asmultiple common retailers to can sell to customers through the retail channels Theexclusive retailers only sell the product produced by one of the manufacturers while thecommon retailers sell the products produced by all the manufacturers simultaneously First the pricing decisions are made using the game theoretic approach For thisreason based on the competitive and cooperative behaviors established among the players the game theoretic models are developed including Nash Nash Bertrand Nash CollusionI Nash Collusion II Centralized Nash Centralized Nash Bargaining and Coordinationmechanism and then the equilibrium prices are obtained under these models Then the results obtained from the developed models are given and severalmanagerial insights are revealed The results indicate that from the manufacturers point ofview it is more beneficial to set the prices under Nash Collusion II model The retailersprefer to make the decisions under Coordination mechanism Moreover Centralized modelleads to the highest profits for the supply chains and the whole system Finally a sensitivity analysis is implemented to can investigate the effects of thechanges of the considered parameters on the equilibrium decisions given by the models The results indicate that the players can increase their profits by making policies thatprevent from introducing the new products in the market Keywords Supply chain management Dual channel supply chain Game theory Equilibrium point Competitive and cooperative behaviors Coordination Exclusive andcommon retailers substitutable products
