The Englert Brout Higgs mechanism in non Hermitian field theory with Symmetry Bahar Rastkar b rastkarsamrin@ph iut ac ir September 17 2019 Department of Physics Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 IranDegree Master of Science Language FarsiSupervisor B Mirza Prof B mirza@cc iut ac ir AbstractRecently the problem of the spontaneous breaking of both global and local symmetries of symmetricAbelian gauge theories was considered In this thesis we study problem of the spontaneous breaking of a symmetric non Abelian 2 gauge theory The non Abelian symmetric theory includes two complexdoublets and with interaction term Because of the existence of the interaction term this Lagrangian isnon Hermitian In this theory at least two massless complex doublet fields and two massive complex doubletfields are needed The Lagrangian of theory is invariant under 2 transformations We show that innon Hermitian theories described by the symmetric Lagrangian after broking 2 continuous globalsymmetry spontaneously three massless Goldeston bosons appear Finally we investigate the Higgs mechanismin this theory and obtain massive gauge fields KeywordsNon Hermitian Field Theory Higgs Mechanism Symmetry Gauge Theory
