79Iut 77142Degree Master of ScienceTitle Potential mapping for Copper mineralization in the 1 100000 geological map of Gharb E Shekaste Abshale by integrating exploration dataAuthor Faranak SarafniaSupervisor Dr Ahmad Reza MokhtariDepartment Mining EngineeringDate December 31 2019Language PersianAbstract This study aims at potential mapping for sedimentary copper mineralization in the1 100 000 geological map of Gharb E Shekaste Abshale by fuzzy integration method andPROMETHEE multi criteria decision making technique Data layers including geology geochemistry remote sensing and fault layers were prepared to be used The study area islocated in 1 100000 geology map sheet between 56 30 to 57 00 E longitudes and 32 30 to 33 00 N latitudes A number of 710 stream sediment samples were employed to drawsample catchment basins Geochemical anomalies were separated once data processing wascompleted through the sample catchment basin approach To highlight the anomalous areasthe concentration area fractal method was used and thresholds were determined The remotesensing and faults map layers have been prepared by processing the ASTER and Landsat 7ETM data The fuzzy logic approach was employed in order to separate favorable areas forhaving sedimentary copper mineralization in the GIS environment and eventually differentthreshold values were incorporated into the PROMETHEE multi criteria decision makingalgorithm As a result eight areas were identified through the above techniques that can beconsidered for further exploration activities
