Synthesis of zeolite imidazolate framework 67 ZIF 67 nanostructures evaluation of different morphologies and its application as an adsorbentfor extraction of herbicide molinate Mehdi Davoudi Mehdidavoodi20@yahoo com February 2021 Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Language Farsi Degree M Sc Supervisor Dr Fatemeh Davar Email davar@iut ac irAbstract In this research Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks 67 ZIF 67 with various morphologies were prepared ina simple way under different reaction conditions By changing the reaction conditions including the cobaltsource solvent time temperature and the molar ratio of the linker agent to the cobalt ions the morphologychanges of ZIF 67 were investigated The Prepared samples were identified with various techniques such asX ray diffraction XRD field emission scanning electron microscopy FESEM N2 adsorption desorption BET thermogravimetric analysis TGA and Ultraviolet visible UV Vis The ZIF 67 was applied as anadsorbent fiber in the solid phase microextraction SPME technique for extracting a herbicide molinate inaqueous samples For recognizing the molinate molecules ion mobility spectrometry IMS was employed asa sensitive rapid and simple detection technique Two essential parameters namely extraction temperatureand extraction time influenced the extraction efficiency and these parameters were also analyzed andoptimized In this method the linear dynamic range LDR and the limit of quantification LOQ were achievedto be 0 5 20 0 g L 1 and 0 5 g L 1 respectively Also the limit of detection LOD and the determinationcoefficient were calculated to be and 0 15 g L 1 and 0 9990 respectively Finally the effect of the adsorbentwith different morphologies on the extraction efficiency was compared Keywords zeolitic imidazolate frameworks various morphologies solid phasemicroextraction ion mobility spectrometry
