چكيده انگليسي :
This thesis presents the sensitivity studies of the pure electroweak production of a photon plus two jets in pp collisions at √𝑠 =14 , considering the high-luminosity conditions of the CERN LHC. Dijet events with a hard photon radiating from final state quarks constitute the main background of this process. Signal and background are, respectively, generated at leading and next-to leading order in QCD. As simplified simulation of the CMS detector is employed assuming a large number of additional pp interactions in the same bunch crossing. Events with a central photon are selected, together with a tagging jet pair produced with a large dijet invariant mass. Multivariate techniques are used to further separate signal from background. The statistical significance of the signal, including systematic uncertainties, is considered as the measure for sensitivity. It is checked for different scenarios of the integrated luminosity, up to 3000. The potential of the VBF photon production in constraining new tripe gauge boson couplings is also demonstrated in the context of an effective field theory.
