AbstractThis study was conducted to evaluate the effects of different levels of canola meal phytase and available phosphorous on perfoffilance of broiler chicks Soybean meal wasreplaced by canolameal zero 33 66 and 100 Phytase was used in two levels 0 and500 FTU Kg with two levels of available phosphorous recommend by NationalResearch Council and 30 lower than recommended by NRC In a completelyrandomized design with a factorial experiment 576 kabb 500 broiler chicks weredivided in to 16 treatments with three replication per treatment 12 chicks in eachreplication The chicks were fed with isoenergetic and isonitrogenous experimentaldiets for 7 weeks from 8 to 56 days old Results showed the feed intake was not affectby different levels of canola meal Added phytase to the diet increased feed intakesignificantly p 0 05 Low phosphorous diet tended to replace feed intake dourerstarter and finisher periods p 0 05 Added canola meal to the diet decrease weightgain significantly p 0 05 Supplemented phytase improved daily weight gainsignificantly p 0 05 Low phosphorous diet decreased daily weight gain p 0 05 Added phytase to improved feed conversion rate significantly p 0 05 Low phosphorous diet improved feed conversion ratio p 0 05 The concentration of thyroidhoffilones T 3 and T 4 and Thyroxin to triiodothyronin T 4fT3 ratio was affected byadded the canola meal at 56 day of age Replacing more than 33 canola mealdecreased the concentration of T4 and T3 significantly p 0 05 Complete substitutionof soybean meal with canola meal decreased breast meat significantly p 0 05 A significant decrease p 0 05 in breast meat was observed by low phosphorous diet There was no significant difference in ash phosphorous calcium tibia bone ash due to using phytase and available phosphorous at 56 days old However there was a significant effect on tibia bone ash calcium due to canola meal llr Jj I VI t
