i Abstract United nation organization has recently emphasizedon civil liberties politicalrights and observanceof law and order as community developmentindicators Peopleawarenesson the law and their rights is a prerequisite to approachjustice withincommunities Many injusticEs and discrimination are consequenceof insufficientawareness which is one of the important challenges in rural people participationespeciallyfor women within their decisionmakings This study was carried out in orderto investigate awareness level of rural women in Isfahan township about theirindividual familiar and economical social rights In addition in economic social andindividual familiar decisions making was evaluated After questionnaire designing varianceof awareness level within the study areawas estimatedthrough a preliminarystudy Resultsshowedthat awareness level of rural women in Isfahan township on bothstudied aspectsas well as their shares in decision making participation was in themiddle class Based on the results person job and education level affected theirawareness Among other individual familiar characteristic age and marriage durationindependentlyand family s job and also father and husband educationlevel had noeffect on womenawareness Among social factors participationlevel in social activitiesand frequency of traveling to city as well as reading of publication had effect onawareness while no sucheffect was observedfor TV and radio Working in paid job isalso an economic factor affecting their level of awareness their welfare level and butownershipof production factors had no significant effect in this respect The resultsofthis study showed that women s awarenessof their rights resulted in their greaterparticipationsharein all threeabove mentioneddecisionmaking area I 1 i 1I I J
